Empathy

Empathy is fashioned around cancer, so telling some one they are a level four empath is the equivalent of telling someone they have stage four cancer.

Breakdown

Stage I cancers are localized to one part of the body.

Level 1 empaths fell emotions only through touch

Stage II cancers are locally advanced.

Level 2 empaths can fell emotion through touch and can feel the emotions of those in the same space as them. i.e Same room

Stage III cancers are also locally advanced. The specific criteria for Stages II and III therefore differ according to diagnosis.

Level three empaths can feel through touch and feel those around them like two, the only difference is 3’s can manipulate the emotions of others by touch. ie calming some one down or making them so relaxed they fall asleep.

They can also ease depression or anxiety in order to enable someone to become more open with the issues that has then depressed or anxious. Empaths going in to the medical field must be certified to manipulate emotions.

The certification coves two aspects. The first is to make the transition of emotions smoother. And the second is a basic understanding of psychology. The manipulation is not permanent. If the underlying issues of the subjects distress is not addressed, once the manipulation clears the subject can have a complete mental break down due to the sudden rush of negative emotions and no copping skills.

The duration of emotinal manipulation can last anywhere between the moment the empath stops physical contact to three months depending on what the desired length the empath wants.

Stage IV cancers have often metastasized, or spread to other organs or throughout the body.

So it’s assumable that there is a higher count of cancer cells in the body.

While Levels 1-3 all have the same amount of emphatic energy; Level 4’s have a higher amount which cause pressure to build within the brain that is fatal to any and all level 4 empaths.

Level 4’s have the same ability as the others but their range is wider spread.

And like some cancers Empathy genetic.

Then we have Ron a never before seen level 5 empath who’s brain for some reason can expand to accommodate the high levels of empathy, and in high emotional distress can wandlessly physicality manipulate his surrounding. (i.e causing the fire on the cliff to spreed quickly and the transfiguration of the rope he hung himself with while in Azkaban.) His range is much wider then any of the above.

Here’s an example of the emphatic range of the levels.

Ron a level 5 empath and Engel a level 3 are sitting in Engel’s office having a chat with Rachel a level 4 empath. Engel can feel Ron and Rachel’s emotions. Rachel can feel the emotions of everyone on that floor. Ron can feel everyone four floors above and below him.

Ron for a short while held the wide range of his empathy over Ginny’s head until the night he and Harry were up late listing to a quidditch match and felt lust and passion coming from his parents bedroom.
