I wouldn’t say I understand why she hated her, but I do understand why she resented her.  That doesn’t excuse the sheer disregard we see from Petunia. 

This is exactly the reason I’m glad her deleted scene was deleted from DH.  In the book, she shows no remorse or respect.  She never once in all the books made any reference to any love for her sister.  So that scene is entirely OOC.  I don’t believe she deserves even that tiny bit of redemption they tried to give her in the movie.

I can’t help it. To me, Ron has all of the indicators of someone who would be emotionally abusive.

What a load of pure bullshit.

I mean WHAT?

Ron is the one who is always defending Hermione. The only thing Ron ever belittled was S.P.E.W and if you ever read that D.H you would know he got the point of it in the end. And as for studying and Knowledge… he admired and respected those things about her. Since when is calling some one brilliant belittling them? When he saw her over working he tried to get her to loosen up a bit, relax and not take homework as a life and death situation.  How the hell does that lead to him being emotionally abusive?

If you want to call anyone emotionally abusive that title goes to Miss Granger herself. She is the one who is always belittling the boys. Mostly Ron, but Harry got some of her sass as well.

Read the books and not fanfiction that has Ron as some OCC arsehole.
